Holocaust Memorial Day takes place on 27th January each year and will again be recognised here at the museum with a small display, and opportunities for visitors to reflect. This is a time for everyone to remember those who have been murdered or whose lives have been changed beyond recognition during the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution and in subsequent genocides. On HMD we can honour the survivors and challenge ourselves to use their experiences to inform our lives today.
27th January marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. Here at the museum we hope to help encourage people to reflect on the lessons of the past to create a better future.
