Half-Term Mini Comicon

A celebration of all things nerdy at Erewash Museum

All week: come in your favourite costume cosplay and join our costume competition to win a prize.

Monday 25 Board game blow out. Join local business Shadeglass Games for all kinds of card and board game fun. Pop up stalls, drop in dungeons and dragons table, miniature figure war game display and collectable card games fun. Craft activity: make your own board game. Suggested donation £1. Drop in between 11am-3pm

Tuesday 26 Adventure day. Can you get the ring to Mordor around our immersive quest? Follow the clues from our costumed actors, solve the riddles and become a hero of legend! Quests for children and for adults/young adults. £1.50. Also, free crafts. Drop in between 11am-3pm

Wednesday 27 Comic book day. Ilkeston library are here for a one day pop-up comic books and graphic novels fun day. Have a go at becoming your own comic book illustrator with artist Kerry Dilks. Free. Drop in between 11am-3pm

Thursday 28 Super Hero Day. Join DJ Hazza for the super hero party of the year! Come as your favourite super hero and dance the day away. Booking strongly advised. £2.50 per child. Free for under 2s and adults. 11am-3pm

Project D, the delicious doughnuts are here! Come early to get your sweet treats.

Friday 29 Witchcraft and Wizardry day. It’s all things spooky today! Come as your favourite character! Practice your potion making at our potion classes (free, timed classes, booking advised), make your own wand, follow our spooky trail, and see the spooky owls of Woodies Wings (free, all day). Have your picture taken in the Magical Mirror, an interactive technological experience (£2.00 per photo). 11am-3pm

Saturday 30 Star wars and Sci-fi. The East Midlands Garrison are coming to the museum! See their amazing costumes, meet the storm troopers, and see incredible lego Star Wars displays. Make your own Lego Spacecraft for our competition, and enjoy a free craft activity. Free. 11am-3pm
